This study aims to discuss the components of population and causes and effects of overpopulation, on the economic development and environmental degradation. The data from 1947 to 2010 has been taken from different sources. The methodology used in this work is an ADF test; OLS is used to check the relationship between dependent and independent variables. Using above techniques, the result of our study shows that there is upward trend found in temperature in almost all cities which is the proof that global warming affects Pakistan significantly. Urbanization takes place very quickly in Pakistan which is one of the major causes of environmental degradation.
