Inadequate amount ofenergy resources, increasing power demand and growing electricity generation makes economic load dispatch (ELD) a very important part of power system. The main objective of economic load dispatch is to identify the generation of the various plants such that total generation meets the demand and losses by keeping total fuel cost of generation as minimum. Swarm optimization technique with dynamic acceleration coefficients is introduced in this paper to solve ELD problem.
