The aim of the study was to analyze effects of social media on academic performance of business education students in south-east Nigeria. To achieve this, an instrument was designed and sent out to four universities in south-east Nigeria. Out of the 600 copies of the questionnaire distributed, 520 were completely filled and returned giving a return rate of 89%. The data collected were analyzed using frequencies and percentages. Research findings showed that the students of business education in south-east Nigeria use facebook more than any other social networking site.
