Research has shown that father’s involvement in children’s education influence how children perform in education. While this is critical, the type of school the child attends is of great importance in determining whether fathers get involved in children’s education or not. This paper therefore presents research findings of a study conducted in Gucha District of Kisii County with regard to type of school and fathers’ involvement in children’s education. A sample size of sixteen preschools drawn from public and private sponsored and both from rural and urban set up were selected for this study.
