The purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship between higher education and employer preference. Convenience sampling strategy was used to select the participant. Self-administered survey questionnaires were distributed among 110 employers of different business and commercial entities based in Lahore, Pakistan, 90 questionnaires were returned back in useable form. For the analysis of the data software SPSS.16 was used. The results indicated that three dimension of employer preference (recruitment, compensation and promotion) are positively and significantly associated with the higher education.
