Columns give plot name (site and compartment number), region (s: Weald, w: Welsh Marches), UK county, deer density (high or low), records of management within the last 20 years (yes or no), dominant tree species, height of canopy layer (10 cm bands), subplot (five of 10 x 10 m, labelled a--e), foliage and stem density (number of 1 cm3 voxels filled per m3)
