LaNelle Geddes recounts growing up in Houston, getting her PhD in Biophysics and coming to Purdue in 1975 where her husband was head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering. She became head of the School of Nursing in 1980. She details the changes during her Deanship as well as changes in the nursing profession. Even though she is retired from the university, she maintains an office in the school and mentors the new faculty and graduate students
