Data used to fit the models. It includes information of 10000 2.5x2.5min cells randomly selected in the Americas. Columns: X coordinate, Y coordinate, Mean Annual Temperature (BIO1), Mean annual precipitation (BIO13), Potential evapotranspiration (PET), Tree cover (MOD44B) and dominant land use (GLC). Models were fitted to only those cells within our study area (35N-35S) and with non-human land uses (i.e. excluding land uses 16-18 and 22).
