Report documents threats, ongoing preservation efforts, and research opportunities for sand dunes which stretch along 12 miles of coastal land. Species lists for both animals and plants that occupy the dunes were constructed. These lists are made up of species that are: state or federally listed, have special status, or are rare, endanger, or threatened. Lists include mammals(4 species), birds(11 species), amphibians(2 species), reptiles(2 species), and insects(1 species)
