1984 Land use/land cover for the Chesapeake Bay region. This data set consists of three Landsat Thematic Mapper scenes which were analyzed according to the Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) protocol to determine land cover and a subsequent change detection. The data were field validated and mosaiced to produce a land cover inventory for Chesapeake Bay, Virginia. This product covers over 30,000 square miles. If you wish to create an attribute table to identify the different cover classifications, an easy reference table is available under the PROCESS DESCRIPTION section
