The Weitberg award winner for outstanding service to the Osteopathic Profession is Ethel D. Allen, D.O. Dr. Allen was educated in Philadelphia at the Hallahan school for girls, then attended the West Virginia State College. She did graduate work at the Temple University Graduate School. Dr. Allen received her D.O. Degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1963, followed by Internship at Grand Rapids Osteopathic Hospital, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Presently, Dr. Allen serves as Council-Women at Large for the city of Philadelphia. She is also a member of the President\u27s Commission for the observance of IWY, and is active in the NAACP, the YWCA, and the Black Women\u27s Political Caucus. DR.
