The Practical Realities of Ecosocial Work: A Review of the Literature

The following article examines contemporary literary opinion on the link between social and environmental justice. It argues that social work’s historical adherence to the notion of person-in-environment that is, person-in-social environment, has meant that environmental justice has not been widely realised in practice. Literature is drawn on to highlight the link between social and environmental justice and the relevance of environmental justice to social work practice. The author calls for additional debate on the merit of social work practice that realises the link between social and environmental justice and moreover, further research into how this link can be realised in practice.&nbsp
