Photographic image formation by high-voltage electric discharge was studied applying positive D. C. poterltial up to 11,000 V. Using an orthochromatic film, an X-lay film or a resin coated paper, images were formed by discharge generated under various electrode arrangements. 0n a resin coated paper previously treated by an electrolyte solution, extended blackening occurred without rendering a Lichtenberg figure. Image formation was markedly inhibited by placing an UV absorbing filter between an electrode and a sensitive surface and this result demonstrated important contribution of radiation towards image formation by discharge.
