Papillary Thyroid Cancer

Papillary thyroid cancer is generally caused by a mutated MAP K pathway, and although it is mostly asymptomatic, it can result in throat pain and swollen neck lymph nodes. While thyroidectomies work well to rid the body of small tumors, radioactive iodine therapy is increasing in popularity to eradicate the cancerous cells.
