Akrasia e irracionalidade em Eurípides: notas sobre Hipólito e Medéia

The main goal of this paper is to criticize the reading of two of Euripides plays, Hippolytus and Medea, that is offered in a 1983 paper by Terence Irwin titled Euripides and Socrates. In the end, I point out the necessity of a careful study of the different forms of irrationality displayed throughout Euripides works.O principal objetivo deste artigo é criticar a leitura de duas peças de Eurípides, Hipólito e Medéia, que nos é oferecida por Terence Irwin, no artigo intitulado “Euripides and Socrates”, de 1983. No final, aponto para a necessidade de um estudo cuidadoso das diferentes formas de irracionalidade encenadas na obra de Eurípides
