This thesis is focused on the history, goals, and effectiveness of Hezbollah in its war against Israel and its activities elsewhere. It examines the history and formation of the conflict that has centered on Lebanon. The thesis examines the events that were a catalyst to the formation of Hezbollah in Lebanon. Hezbollah\u27s goals, organizational structure and leadership, the significant role played by Iran and Syria in sponsoring Hezbollah, and Hezbollah\u27s methods of operation against Israel and the West are examined to determine its effectiveness during the time period of the Israeli invasion to its withdrawal. Since 2000 and the Israeli withdrawal, Hezbollah has continued its attacks against Israel both in the region and in other areas...
