A botanical survey aimed at compiling a checklist of the flora was conducted on the campus of Nara Saho Jogakuin College, Nara-city from April 1998 to June 1999. The purpose of the checklist was to document the flora on campus and utilize this biological information using media tools such as a digital camera and a computer in environmental education of the college. A total of 289 plant species, sub叩ecies and varieties distributed in 81 families for vascular plants was recorded. In addition, from an ecological viewpoint, the interrelationship between the plants and animals observed on campus will prove valuable in educating students on the importance of the natural environment.論
