Background: The planning of a root canal treatment on children is done based on the diagnosis of root development. The frst permanent teeth eruption in children is at the age of 6-7, which is the frst molar, followed by lower central incisors. By the time a child is 9-10 of age their apical foramen will have perfect closure. In root canal treatments, canals are cleaned before the fllingprocedure. Filling the canal with guta percha is proposed for permanent teeth because it provides satisfying treatment results. Purpose: The aim of this report is to describe root canal treatment on permanent teeth in children using guta percha flling material. Guta percha is a favorable material in most cases of root canal treatment. Review: This material is easily sterilized before use, and doesn't increase bacteria growth, it also doesn't cause coloring in tooth structures and is radiopaque. Guta percha is the least toxic material and creates less irritation on periapical tissues compared to other root flling materials. Conclusion: Root Canal Treatment has been shown to have long-term prognosis is good even fot young patiens, Root canal treatment of permanenttooth for children is done as such in root canal treatments for adults.
