Perubahan warna resin komposit nanohibrida akibat perendaman dalam larutan kopi dengan kadar gula yang berbeda (Discoloration of nanohybrida composite resin after immersing in coffee solution using different sugar concentration)

Background: Resin composite is an esthetic restoration that plays an essential role in modern dentistry, although color changes still happen when it was exposed by certain agent, for exampel cofee. So far only few research held to know the influence of sugar when it is mixed with coffee. Purpose: The purpose of this research was to examine the discoloration of nanohybrida compositeresin after immersing in coffee solution using different sugar concentration. Method: Sixteen nanohybrid composite resin disc (20 mm x 2 mm) were soaked into artificial saliva (pH 6,8 for 24 hours), divided into 2 groups, each group consists of 8 specimens. Before treatment, all of the specimens were measure their initial colour using chromameter. The first group then was soaked intocofee solution mixed by 3,3% sugar, and the second one was soaked into coffee solution mixed by 7,5% sugar for 27 hours (37° C). After treatment, the color of al of the specimens were measured again using chromameter. The color changes were calculated and analyzed using independent t-test. Result: The result showed that nanohybrid composite resin did not showed significant colorchanges after immersing in coffee solution with different sugar concentration. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is no color changes of nanohybrid composite resin happened after immersing in coffe solution using different sugar concentration
