Finding sexual satisfaction on the road to psychological well-being

Philosophers see sexuality as a complex, powerful, and dangerous part of life (Goldman, 1977). Psychological researchers see sexuality as a source of psychological distress or a symptom of a disorder when disabled. The goal of this research was to identify a relationship between sexual satisfaction and psychological well-being on the premise of empirical data representing numerous areas of the brain associated with emotion and basic instincts activated during sex acts. A relationship was expected to emerge between participants\u27 personal ratings of over-all psychological well-being and personal ratings of over-all sexual satisfaction. This exploratory research provides groundwork for future developments toward establishing a direct relationship between psychological well-being and sexual satisfaction
