Thuja occidentalis L. has been widely cultivated in Europe and Ukraine since the end of 18th century. The considerable economic value of the investigated species predetermines expediency of improvement of modern reproduction methodologies, in particular in the in vitro conditions. Experimental researches on obtaining of sterile culture of western Тhuja were conducted in laboratory of tissue culture at the Forestry and Forest Selection Department of UNFU according to generally accepted methods in biotechnology.
