Den usynlige revolution – Et kritisk blik på naturliggørelsen af daginstitutioner

RESUMÉDenne artikel leverer et kritisk blik på de danske institutionsvaner ved at stille en række spørgsmål til det faktum, at daginstitutioner varetager danske børns opvækst i et bemærkelsesværdigt omfang. Der stilles skarpt på forbindelsen mellem familie og daginstitution, hvor institutionerne anses som definerende for barndommen og strukturerende for familiens hellige og hemmelige univers. Gennemgående spørges der til, hvordan vi er kommet til at anse institutionerne for naturlige. Det påvises, at kritikken af og interessen for daginstitutionerne har bevæget sig fra psykologiske bekymringer for børnene til økonomiske anbefalinger for samfundet.ABSTRACTThis article presents a critical view on the Danish institutional habits by questioning the highly significant role day-care institutions play in the childhood of Danish children. The article focuses on the connection between families and day-care institution, where the institutions are considered as having a defining role for childhood and a structuring role for the sacred, secret universe of the family. Throughout the article it is investigated how we have come to view the institutions as natural. It is shown that the critique of and interest in the day-care institutions have moved from child-centred psychological concerns to economic recommendations for society
