From welfare-movement to equal pay-movement: The fight for equal pay by public-sector, female-dominated professions in connection with the collective bargainings in 2008 This article demonstrates how the strong equal-pay movement (consisting of public and female-dominated professions) that was active around the time of thecollective bargaining 2008, arose. The equal-pay movement is an interesting topic because it it the first time since the dissolution of the Danish women’s movement “rødstrømperne” in 1985 that we have seen an active and collective movement for gender equality in Denmark.
