Recognition for innovationOn the evening of Saturday 21 May, Den Gamle By was presentedwith the prestigious Luigi Micheletti Award. The prize is annuallyawarded to an innovative museum working with recent history.Den Gamle By was nominated for the Luigi Micheletti Award,in part for its work in connection with updating the museum. Themuseum now also includes period-rooms depicting the 1960sand 1970s and has developed special experiences for marginalizedgroups such as people suffering from dementia and mentallyhandicapped children. The museum has also developed an innovativemodel for documentation of contemporary life.
