When establishing relations of equivalence between expressions ina source language and a target language, the bilingual lexicographerhas various matters to consider: (1) whether to apply the contrastiveperspective already when analyzing the source language, (2) whatkind of equivalence relationship should be established, and (3)how to handle the different degrees of conventionalization andlexicalization of concepts and expressions in the source languageand target language, respectively.
