This paper will survey how Western philosophy turned almost from its beginning to the objective dimension, which it developed ever more intensively through much of its history; and second, to watch more closely the restoration of the dimension of subjectivityand the way in which this in turn has most recently given new accessto the cultures of people. In this light it will bepossible finally to analyze how the relation between religions andcultures can be a key to an harmonious progress of peoples at a globallevel and in South East Asia
