This project will examine Acceptance and Commitment therapy. This form of therapy can be useful in treating anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. It can also be used when working with clients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes and terminal cancer in an effort to assist individuals in coping with serious medical diagnoses. This project reviews literature and evidence to evaluate the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and discusses the interventions and ways they can be implemented by both mental health providers and medical providers. It also offers suggestions for further research
