Cooperative Learning and Student Motivation

The effects of cooperative learning on student motivation, attendance, and achievement were investigated in a school age GED program\u27 s science lessons. Students took a pre-survey and post-survey to assess the effect of cooperative learning on motivation. Students took a pretest and post-test to assess the effect of cooperative learning on achievement. Student attendance was analyzed before and during the implementation of cooperative learning. Students exhibited more positive motivation and higher achievement after implementation of cooperative learning. It was not possible to determine the effect of cooperative learning on student attendance
