This presentation intends to examine student learning and academic achievement as measured through the use of ongoing, cumulative assessments in the form of short quizzes. Assessment is essential in classroom instruction. Good use of assessment can be linked to quality instruction. Assessments provide instructors with information to improve instruction and improve student understanding. Frequent and ongoing assessments allow instructors to maintain a dialogue regarding content in the classroom, keeping students current with all course materials.
