At the onset of the fifteenth century, the Jews of Plasencia were constrained to live in a district bordering Coria Street. The synagogue and guild hall were located there also. In the decade of the 1430's, the district extended to the Rua and Plaza thoroughfares. After the 1477 expropriation of the synagogue and Jewish dwellings by the Countess of Pimentel, and the expropriation of the remaining Jewish living quarters in 1480, the new synagogue and part of the Jewish quarter were located in Trujillo Street. After the Edict of Expulsion, the Deacon of Plasencia purchased the Jewish cemetery and other properties belonging to the Jews. However, the synagogue passed to the priestly brotherhood, and was destroyed by fire during the Comunero War at summer's end in 1520.A principios del siglo XV los judíos de Plasencia son recluidos en la calle Coria con su sinagoga y cofradía, pero en las décadas de los años 30-70 se establecen en las calles Rúa y Plaza.
