Peoples and Cultures of the World: Pathe Science SeriesWanderers of the Arabian Desert is one the several educational films from the Pathe Science Series featuring the culture of the Bedouins. The Bedouins are herders who travel the Arabian deserts in homes are made of cloth tents. They are sheep and goat herders and are famous for their Arabian horses. Gender roles are followed strictly and specific chores are designated for the women and the men. Women of the tribe weave and spin wool, cooking and do all of the grain grinding. The men are the protectors of the tribe and also roast coffee. The Bedouins are also musical. They play the one stringed lute and shepherd’s pipe.GrayscaleSilen
