This project\u27s goal was to design a mechanical system that would help facilitate: (1) washing the rind of a watermelon before cutting; (2) Cutting the first disk from the melon; (3) Catching the two “halves” after cutting the first disk; (4) Sealing the exposed surface of the two halves as is now commonly done with plastic wrap; and (5) storing the “started” watermelon in the refrigerator
