Development of A Magneto-optic Measuring System

Magnetic materials are used in various ways in the world, from hard drives in computers to sensors to simple magnets. This presentation will go over the development of a system that will help us determine the magnetic properties of materials. The development of the hardware and software will be explained in detail. Some of the set up that will be discussed will be the electromagnet that will be used in the experiment to create the magnetic field, the software creation in order to complete the measurement process, and the enclosure used to black out the area to get the most accurate results. Future work will focus on measuring the magnetic properties of materials and furthering our knowledge in condensed matter physics
