Yankai, Yunnan Province, China - 1943A Buddhist temple along a pond outside of Yankai village. It was well kept as temples go. It has a roof of green and orange glazed tiles. The ornamental half dragons and spire at the top were gold. The circular openings contained intricately carved patterns of wood. The surrounding ground was of reddish-brown color which provided an interesting color contrast.GrayscaleBox
