Yunnan Province, China 1943 - 1945A Chinese gentleman taking leather goods into the market place. He was walking along the road to the town of Luliang. His face is interesting because it has much character in it. It carries an almost bewildered expression. He has a fine beard and mustache and his turban adds much to his appearance. The turban indicated he may be a follower of Mohammed. He carries leather which is tanned and wrapped for possible sale. That's how monies were earned to stay alive in that tough, tough economy. He would display these wares in the market square or in market areas along the road and sell whatever he could for cash.GrayscaleBox
