Yunnan Province, China 1943 - 1945This elderly gentleman was persuaded to have his picture taken. He was smoking his pipe at the time and the younger Chinese asked that he be photographed. The area he is seated in was a shop front. The benches are of wood and were commonly used in resting places. He wears an unusual cloth cap, quilted tunic, and worn foot wear.GrayscaleBox
