Leishmaniasis cutánea. Manifestaciones clínicas e integración de factores sociales en la prevención (Original)

Going into the study of cutaneous leishmaniasis allows to know in depth the variety of phlebotomine that cause this contagious disease, mainly in rural areas, which is characterized by severe skin lesions due to ulcers that, although they disappear spontaneously, leave a scar great relevance for life. The prevention process constitutes in this case the main pillar for the prophylaxis against this disease, which implies the integrated participation of the personnel of the health institutions, the entities responsible for the sanitation and sanitation of the community and the family as a card where it falls such consequences. The approach of integrating and articulated strategies among these social agents envisages an approach to the decrease in the appearance of cases by the routes of sting, infected animals and by travelers and immigrants who are carriers of the disease from actions of protection, promotion and prevention, determining factor for the improvement of the health and the quality of life of the inhabitants.Adentrarse en el estudio de la leishmaniasis cutánea permite conocer a profundidad la variedad de flebótomo que causan esta contagiosa enfermedad, fundamentalmente en zonas rural, protagonizada por lesiones graves en la piel por úlceras que, si bien van desapareciendo de forma espontánea, dejan una cicatriz de gran relevancia de por vida. El proceso de prevención constituye en este caso el principal pilar para la profilaxis ante esta enfermedad, que implica la participación de forma integrada del personal de las instituciones de salud, los entes responsables del saneamiento e higienización de la comunidad y la familia como cédula donde recae tales consecuencias. El planteamiento de estrategias integradoras y articuladas entre estos agentes sociales vislumbra un acercamiento a la disminución en la aparición de casos por las vías de picadura, animales infectados y por viajeros e inmigrantes que sean portadores de la enfermedad a partir de acciones de protección, promoción y prevención, factor determinante para el mejoramiento de la salud y la de calidad de vida de los habitantes
