Purpose: Postoperative hemorrhage is fortunately uncommon but potentially life threatening complication of thyroid surgery that increases the postoperative morbidity and the hospital stay. In this study we compare the efficacy of collagen patch coated with human fibrinogen and human thrombin (CFTP) (group C) and oxidized regenerated cellulose gauze (group B) versus traditional hemostatic procedures (group A) in thyroid surgery.
