The aim of this study was to examine the relationships among responsibility perceived by students, psychological mediators, self-determined motivation, sportsmanship, life style and intention to be physically active. To do this, a prediction model was proposed in line with the postulates of the hierarchical model of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Participants were 128 physical education students (68 boys and 60 girls) aged between 11 and 15 years (M = 12.45; SD = 1.15). A cross-sectional study was designed.
