Every human is made up of mind, body, heart, and spirit. In the medical realm, there is a tendency to focus only on the biology, or the physical aspects of an illness. Within the last 100 years, more and more emphasis has been placed on the need of medicine to deal with the whole person. In ministry, similar reform has also begun. Instead of focusing solely on the spiritual, ministers strive to see the whole person and the many needs that an individual has. The Bible offers compelling stories that highlight the needs of the whole person.
