Many factors affect the level of proficiency in one language. Some of them include the language used in educational institutions, in communication in the workplace and in communication with family and friends. The research presented in this paper was conducted in order to find out more about Croatian-English bilinguals who live in Australia and New Zealand. The paper is divided into seven chapters.
