The Brazilian semi-arid region is characterized by low water availability due to persistent periods of drought, with which there is a need for better use of water in the irrigation of crops. So that, the objective of this study was to evaluate the water deficit effect, applied in different phenological phases, on the fiber yield, percentage and quality of upland cotton cultivars BRS 286 and BRS 336. The experimental design was a randomized complete block in a Split Plot scheme, with the six water deficit regimes, applied on the different cotton phenological phases, constituting the Plots, and the two upland cotton cultivars, the Subplots, in four repetitions.
