Introduction: The hypertriglyceridemic waist phenotype is related to the presence of hyperinsulinemia, hypertriglyceridemia, and hypercholesterolemia and consequently, it is a risk of cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes mellitus.Objective: To determine the association of hypertriglyceridemic waist phenotype with the main cardiovascular risk factors.Material and Methods: A descriptive study was carried out with a probabilistic sample obtained from a multi-stage method.
