Based on a bibliographic selection of recent edition, this is a reflection on some of the most problematic aspects of violence: criminality, offenses, and insecurity in the Countries of the North Triangle (Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras), the present analysis intends to contribute with elements that will help develop a better understanding and comprehension of its evolution and intensification which only came once these countries concluded their democratization processes, which apparently facilitated economic growth in the region.
