Música vallenata, instrumento pedagógico en el proceso de aprendizaje universitario

Education seeks to find answers to achieve significant results in the formative process of students. However, such an action can be difficult, since there are factors that make teaching difficult. This is how it is observed from the teaching, to certain students with interests, contrary to their learning process. In this sense, these interests, which are part of their internal state and their situation vis-à-vis the external, affect their desire or abstention to study, generating the need to solve pedagogical strategies to optimize teaching. The objective of this article is to analyze the inclusion of vallenata music as a pedagogical instrument in the university learning process. The conceptual basis is expressed in the constructivist paradigm, from the ideas of authors such as Ausubel (1968) meaningful learning, Gardner (1993), musical intelligence, among others. The research is based on positivist thinking with a quantitative approach and quasi-experimental design. The results showed that the pedagogical mediation applied to the group object of the investigation, allowed to diminish the distracting elements in classes, to increase the interest of the learning and to increase the academic yield. It is concluded that the ludic musical strategies offer important changes in the learning of the university.La educación busca encontrar respuestas para alcanzar resultados significativos en el proceso formativo de los estudiantes. No obstante, tal acción se puede tornar ardua, ya que existen factores que dificultan la labor docente. Es así como se observa desde la docencia, a ciertos alumnos con intereses, contrarios a su proceso de aprendizaje. En tal sentido, estos intereses que forman parte de su estado interno y su situación frente a lo externo, afectan su deseo o abstención hacia el estudio, generando la necesidad de resolver mediante estrategias pedagógicas la optimización de la enseñanza. El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar la inclusión de la música vallenata como instrumento pedagógico en el proceso de aprendizaje universitario. La base conceptual, se expresa en el paradigma constructivista, desde las ideas de autores como Ausubel (1968) aprendizaje significativo, Gardner (1993) inteligencia musical, entre otros. La investigación se basa en el pensamiento positivista con enfoque cuantitativo y diseño cuasi experimental. Los resultados demostraron que la mediación pedagógica aplicada al grupo objeto de la investigación, permitió disminuir los elementos distractores en clases, aumentar el interés del aprendizaje e incrementar el rendimiento académico.
