The use of a new temperature jump condition considering the viscous heat generation due to sliding friction has been recently proposed in the literature. It gives a more accurate prediction w.r.t the DSMC results for temperature and heat flux. In this work, we study the case of hypersonic flow over a flat plate with inlet Mach number of 6.1, for which the experimental and the DSMC results are available in the literature. We have verified our formulation of various non-equilibrium boundary condition with the already published results.
