Cashing in on Green: Casino Development and Sustainability

The development of the Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore, MD has created its fair share of contention and controversy for local residents. The typical residential concerns surrounding casino development- disparate impacts on surrounding businesses, employment concerns, and economic impact-are not raising eyebrows in the Baltimore area; rather, residents are concerned about the environmental impacts of the casino construction and development project.
