Trauma in regard to war has been studied many times. Many write about the response to the trauma months to years later. However not much is known about the history of the person or the history of the wars. This paper aims to compare three different responses (suicide, revenge, and resilience) to government (war) induced trauma in three different wars, Second Congo, Bosnian, and Syrian War. I will be using plays based in the wars above, with all of the playwrights using real people as the basis of their stories: Ruined by Lynn Nottage, The Monument by Collen Wagener, and #WeAreArrested by Can Dündar
