In the years following the implementation of the new Ecuadorian constitution, many scholars have weighed in on the radical nature of some of the included rights and the implications that have resulted. A number of these implications are a result of the lack of implementation of these new radical rights, the rights of nature. However, this literature sparsely discusses the negative treatments that have resulted for the indigenous community in particular, and the possible rationale for these negative manifestations.
