It has been more than 20 years since the issue of compulsive buying behavior was introduced to the consumer research literature (Faber, O\u27Guinn, &Krych, 1987). This pioneering research has helped to awaken researchers\u27 interest in a troubling issue in consumer behavior. The incidence of compulsive buying ( CB) was estimated to range between 2 percent and 8 percent of consumers in the United States 15 years ago (Faber & O\u27Guinn, 1992).
